Presentation

The Master's Degree in Technology, Innovation and Fashion Design is an official master's degree of the UPM, taught at its Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda. The general objective of the Master is to train professionals with the ability to integrate and lead teams (generally multidisciplinary) in companies in the textile and fashion sector. In this regard, with a focus on practical training centred on the realization of design projects, the training curriculum focuses on currently relevant aspects to the sector such as responsibility (environment and corporate social responsibility), new techniques and materials, or globalization.

The Master's Degree in Technology and Innovation in Fashion Design consists of a total of 60 ECTS. The ECTS are distributed equally in two semesters and their main goal is to educate students in the latest procedures, materials, technologies, and organizational trends in the industry.

This way, both students the ones with a professional profile and those with a vocation for research, acquire knowledge of the design and fashion industry, from an organization and management perspectives, as well as from manufacturing processes.

As for the Applicant's profile it is obviously aimed at graduates in Fashion Design, but also to graduates of other related degrees, such as Fundamentals of Architecture or Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development, who would enroll in a four-month term of complementary education to contextualize their knowledge to the fashion industry.

The Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid (CSDMM-UPM), National Fashion Award in the category of Academy and Culture elected as the ultimate number 1in the U-Ranking of the BBVA and the IVIE 2017 to study design in Spain, is a leader in in the field of fashion design education

Observations All CSDMM degrees belong to the Polytechnic University, but their management requires, as an affiliated center, the payment of specific fees, which are always intended to benefit UPM students. The Master is currently in the process of verification to be implemented in September 2023
